My Rejected Product Review for Herbal Essences

Herbal Essences Product Review Mousse Shampoo Conditioner

Herbal Essences All Whipped Up Conditioning Mousse

How could one of the products, that I previously stated I wasn’t fond of, be “THE” product I was asked to review?

I seriously thought I was being punked y’all!  Here’s the story.

A third party contacted me and asked that I do a product review specifically for Herbal Essences products.  I thought it was either a joke, or they thought I would recant or reverse my original stance.  After pondering for a few days, I decided I’d give them another try and here’s why.

If you recall ‘My First Ever Henna Treatment’ video, you know that I experienced burning on my scalp after co-washing out the henna using Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner.  I did follow up by using another product, Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil deep treatment, which in turn burned also.

Now it wasn’t until after I used the Shea Moisture product a second time much later, where I experienced burning yet again.  This use was independent of using Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner.  For that reason, along with the fact that the review would be for three products, I thought I’d see if the products would actually be amazing.

Here are the products I received and reviewed:

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner
Herbal Essences All Whipped Up Conditioning Mousse

Here is the video I submitted.  Watch to find out what happened!

Now I don’t buy everything on the market, but I do try my best to give new things a shot.  This is true for products and processes alike.

If the benefits outweigh other possible negative factors, such as chemical ingredients or colors, I will seriously consider using it.  But in the end, I will still give an honest opinion, and that’s what I did.

What are your thoughts?
