Pineapple Method for Curly Hair

The Pineapple Method Results on Natural HairOne of the best ways to preserve your curls and get more wear out of your favorite styles is to use the Pineapple Method.

Using this method saves you from having to re-twist or re-braid your wash and go’s, twist-outs, braid-outs and bantu-knot-outs, nightly.  Here’s how to do it.

The process is really simple.  You basically gather your hair to the crown of your head, securing with an elastic band or bobby pins if needed.  Next you secure the back and edges of your hair with a silk or satin scarf or fabric.  That’s it!

I primarily keep my hair in braids or twists, unless I have somewhere to go.  For the flat-twist, perm rod style I’m wearing in the photo, the pineapple method perfectly held the integrity of the style.

The pineapple method can be used for varying lengths of hair.  I even used it while relaxed, since my hair was usually set in curls.

It’s a simple and easy regimen to preserve many styles.

Let me know if you’ve ever tried this method before and how it works out for you!
