The journey my family and I have been on to better health has been rewarding in so many ways. We are discovering foods and nutrition that help our bodies to heal and thrive.
Most recently, we learned that Irish Moss, a natural seaweed, is very beneficial as it contains 92 out of 102 minerals that our bodies need. You can learn more about the benefits of Irish moss here.
We use it in most of the alkaline electric foods dishes we eat now, and most recently, I added it to my facial and hair regimen. Now you know how us naturals can be sometimes. We figure, if it's good enough to eat, it's good enough to put on our hair! LOL...and that's exactly what happened in this case!
I created a simple natural hair styler using the Irish moss gel I had on hand. I found that it has some amazing slip and creates awesome definition for my texture. It can be used to style, detangle, and even for steam or conditioning treatments! It worked so well on my wash and go that I'm now more confident wearing this style, knowing my hair won't tangle as it did in the past.
After you prepare your Irish moss gel, you can then turn it into a styling gel for your hair. Be careful not to use too much, as you will see build up. I find applying it then rinsing some out after it dries to be most helpful.
Watch as I show you how to quickly make your own in the following tutorial!
